OSTEOPATHY ABSTRACT

Keyword: osteophaty, rehabilitation, physioteraphy, autoregulatory-mechanisms

Aims: Osteopathy is an holistic medicine which porpuse is to help and facilitate the process of rehabilitation os some structural damage that is affecting an especific function. This practice suggests some theoretical principles, and it is important to know if these can be applied in practice.
Before starting with methods is necessary to know what are the principles proposed, this time we are going to check just two; the first one is "the structure determines the function" and "the body posses autoregulatory-mechanisms having the inherent capacity to repair itself"

Methods Planning a study method to test the proposition was agreed  to do a literature review; were consulted 200 sources like books and pappers, they are;  50 physio theraphy books, 50 specific ostheopathy books and 50 pappers of rehabilitation medicin, 50 pappers of traumatology.
After that  we interviewed 100 health professionals who are dedicated to the rehabilitation of physical injuries, from doctors to physio therapist.

Results
About the literature review was obtained:
20/200:
refute the principles
180/200:approved the principles
Now about the interviews 90 of them aproved the osteopathy principles.

Conclusionwith the results obtained from the literature search and interviews with professionals we can verify the  truth of the principles of osteopathy, so we are sure now that   these ones can be applied in practice. We are sure know that if  the structure  fail the function will be affect, and with the autoregulatory-mechanisms the osteophaty just help them.

Osteopathy outline

The osteopahty it's an holistic medicine which purpose is facilitate the process of rehabilitation of any structural damage that affects a specific function. When talks about "holistic" means that this science see the human like an all, something integral, and What this approach suggests is reharmonized the body.Another important point in the definition of this practice is that the funtion depend of structure, when the second one fails, the funtion will be affect in a bad way.
And the last principle is that the body possesses auto-regulatory-mechanisms having the inherent capacity to  repair, and remodel itself.
The treatment techniques could be structural, rhythmic or handling.
Today this technique is taking more and more strength in the rehabilitation area,  and for physioterapists is a specialty that can be taken.

And another thing about me is I love to hang out with my friends, travel with them, or just stay for them when ever they need me,  I think friendship is one of the most important things in my life with the family with the family too.
Before studying physiotherapy I studied psychology, I just stand 4 months, that's career it's so humanist for me.
